Facebook recently updated its official Facebook app for Windows devices that requires 2GB RAM.
The Facebook and its Messenger app are perhaps the most popular apps used by Windows devices. However, the social media giant recently updated their Windows phone version of the Facebook app that requires at least 2GB of space in the device.
In other words, majority of the Windows phones whose storage space is restrictive by nature in comparison to what the Facebook app requires will not be able to use the latter just as smoothly.
However at the moment, both the Facebook apps can still be downloaded by Windows users whose devices consist of less than 2GB RAM. What’s interesting to note is that many users cannot post reviews regarding this change in the Windows Store page. Softpedia believes this could be an indication that the change in requirements is actually an error and that Facebook will maintain support for phones with 1GB RAM.
